Pretty as Pink

Hey lovely ppl,
On and off have been sharing few of my creations with you.
I often mention quilling as my base but i love trying my hands on scrapbooks, cards etc..
So here is sharing one square box i made recently for a cute mini album.

Here is a snap shot of the album cover page..I love using resin charms..here i have used the inka gold generously over the charm and also the doily dress over the box.

 cover page of the album

Used lace on the sides of the box and adorned it with some pearls.
I love adding mulberry flowers to my projects, they give a different feel to the project. Added little charms and also a peacock feather. Elegant and delicate corner die cuts sits on the edges of the box.

Hope you like the above box.

Cuteness Multifold

hi Peeps..
So here I am with my take on this month's challenge at Kraftzone...
Its fun and is like crafty tambola!!..to get the houses first...

I created this invite which can be used for baby shower or birthday invite .
I have taken a 5.5"x 5.5" white textured cardstock. Inked the surface with distress ink (broken china) and than used Studio Calico's chevron mask stencil to layer it with salty ocean.

Next have used Martha Stewart Deco Fan round the edge punch (one of my favorite) and adhered the white strip to the center of the card.

I have used Marianne createables die baby pram, layered the hood with a yellow textured cardstock for the pram hood. Used mulberry flowers and fillers on the hood. Ribbon bow and rhinestones adorn the cute little pram. And did you notice the little blue feather tucked behind the wheels of the pram.
The sentiment comes from Avery Elle You're invited stamp set.

Hope you like the little invite.

Shabby Chic Altered box

Heu lovely ppl...

Its always fun to up cycle, alter or change the boring look of our old belongings. So this time after thinking for almost a day, my eyes caught hold of this ugly looking nutties box which I use for storing my lazercuts..(have this box with me for last 25 years..:) )

{Warning: This is a photo heavy post :P..}

Lets start...
Took the old square box, used gesso to cover it and than painted it with Camlin Artist's Acrylic Colors (mixed titanium white, medium magenta, scarlet lake) to get the pastel pink tone.

I have used  Jodie Lee's Butterfly Paper pack from Prima (its a gorgeous collection )

Cut strips of desired size as per the box dimensions.

To give a little aged look i use Tonic Studio's Paper Distresser

Used my fav adhesive Hobby idea's fabric glue..sticks almost everything on any surface..If u look carefully u will be able to notice the distressed paper edges. I have not inked the edges to keep that softer look and it helps the paper to jut blend in the colored background.

For the lid I used my corner puncher to round of the corners as per the design of the box.

The Butterfly paper are so pretty so i thought of making flowers using the same pp.Here I have used Heartfelt Creations's Sun Kissed Fleur die set..(i skipped the using the coordinating stamp)

For shaping the flowers I used Mcgills Paper blossom embossing tools..and since i dont hv a proper embossing pad I used the Sospeso Transparente embossing pad..works just fine..

To give a little dimension to the flowers I sprinkled a little Diamond dust on the tips of the flower petals.

The pack has such lovely images that I couldn't  stop myself from some fussy cutting..
(adhered the fairy with two way foam tape)

Now comes the layout part for the lid..I have put together the handmade flowers, mulberry roses, Prima's  Resin Shabby Chic Treasures and Swirls.
For the oval center resin charm I used Viva's Inka Gold..just love the golden finish it gives..easy to apply and quick to dry..

To finish the look I have also used lace from my mom's stash..

And finally here is the complete look....

The stenciled rose background is done by using Viva's inka gold and Tim Holtz scribbles layering stencil..
The scalloped circle is diecut form Spellbinders Nestabilities classic scalloped circles (large).
Have layered pattern paper with vellum .

black magic

Hi crafting buddies ,

Black and white always has an extra edge over the colors or let me put it as a different kind of magnetic power these colors possess....
So here is my little inspiration for the black magic.. ;)

I made bunch of simple cards (sometimes less also does the trick! )

So here is the first and my favorite  background stamp from Hero Arts(spice market large petal background)..This particular one looks as elegant in multi color tones as in simple black and white. The sentiment comes from the Stamping Up Blooming with Kindness stamp set. Also added pearl and rhinestone. After stamping i divided it in three panels and layered with black card stock, center panel being larger in width than the rest. The central panel is than stuck with 3d foam tape to give a little dimension to the card.

Next, I made couple of note cards and I pick them up now and then to write Thank You notes etc for friends and family. These were fast, easy and fun to make,Here I used the Tuxedo Black ink from Memento inks..I love the crisp and clear image you get with this ink..and if you wanna put in a little color with your distress inks, watercolor pencils, copics ...then this is the best ink as it does not bleed or react with water.
Ps: You can notice a generation stamping technique on the note cards...

The last of the lot was stamping on glossy black card stock with Memories Unicorn pigment inks..Love the crisp white image it gives even on a glossy card stock. To speed up the drying process since it was a glossy surface i used my heat tool. And added just a hint of gold to the flower centers with my ever favorite  uniball gold signo pen. The stamp comes from the Stamping Up family and is called Corner Garden.

Hope you liked the cards..

Keep crafting..

Spring love...

Hi lovely people,
I started with quilling , which still continue to be my first love but almost an year back Pinterest and loads of crafty friends and their amazing work made me fall for stamps, inks, stencils, gelatos, mix media etc etc etc and the list never ends...
And, here i mean the list of what new to learn and create, also the loads of craft supplies ;P which always keep adding to the wish list and eventually the shopping cart...and than the bankruptcy follows...heeheee...(I am sure many of you know what i mean and cannot agree less..)

It always have been tough getting back to crafting after a long break...so i look out for various blog challenges..their themes inspire my creative thought process to get back on track.

So after all the talking..:P sharing with you a card using 3 layer stamping technique..With Spring knocking i thought flowers are the best way to put the happiness on paper!

Love Distress inks and the their ability to react with water gives ample opportunity to try something new every time you lay hands on these versatile inks..
Used these along with a water brush to create a watercolor effect for my stamped image.

Not sure if you can spot a subtle shimmer in the center of the sunflower...

Here is the final look...

Hope you like it...
