Quilling Love

HI,
Its been a while since I took up my quilling tool and some paper strips..
Few days back a friend demanded a card especially with quilled flowers on it..So here I am sharing my pretty little card :)
I have used the Papericious Wooden collection- one collection I totally love..
I am addicted to malaysina flowers when i get to quilling..and this time also it proved right :P I could not stop myself from executing another set of Malaysian flowers.
The stamped sentiment is from Altenew and the birthday diecut from Technique Tuesday.

Entering the card in Papericious July challenge

(I have used papericious wooden collection, mulberry flowers from the mood board)

Inspired Me!!

Hi there,
I saw this video and blog post on a quick die cut and watercolor effect card on K Werner Design Blog and YouTube channel..and was inspired to try few on my own.Since i loved making one tried few others in different colors..you can say practicing them :P
For these I have used Technique Tuesday 'say it-Birthday' die and some distress inks( mustard seed, peacock feathers, salty ocean, mowed lawn, picked raspberry, vintage photo).
Have used black adhesive glitter paper from a local brand for edges and die cutting the sentiment. Next stuck some sequins and the card is done!!..
The coordinated sentiments come from a mix of stamp sets i have.(Winnie and Walter, Avery Elle,Mudra stamps)

Hope you like my trials..
Do leave some love in comments :)

Wish Tree

Hi all,
Hope you have been enjoying the blogs. Trying to put forward easy but intresting projects for you to create. The latest addition is something I named the Wish Tree. This one is very simple to make , a little twists and turns needed to create the effect of the branches and you can choose a colour scheme of your own.

  • It can be left monochromatic, or made in hues of the same colour or made colourful using shades of greens, browns etc.
  • The magic is created by taking strips of different sizes (1/8 and 1/4th cm) and lengths together.
  • Part the entire piece into two bold halves and curl/wind the paper into coils of different sizes and in different directions.
  • Take a coloured card sheet of your choice, give the edges design using pinking shears( for a zig zag pattern) or a shape of your choice. You can also stamp the card sheet with different blocks to give it a leafy theme.

  • You can frame this tree by putting it in a decorative low- rise box and can be gifted to family and friends on special occasions.

There no end to imagination and the magic being created.
Happy Crafting!!

  • take different colored quilling strips, roll into coils of different sizes,
  • make different shapes and stick them together to form flower, butterfly, bird etc,
