Spring love...

Hi lovely people,
I started with quilling , which still continue to be my first love but almost an year back Pinterest and loads of crafty friends and their amazing work made me fall for stamps, inks, stencils, gelatos, mix media etc etc etc and the list never ends...
And, here i mean the list of what new to learn and create, also the loads of craft supplies ;P which always keep adding to the wish list and eventually the shopping cart...and than the bankruptcy follows...heeheee...(I am sure many of you know what i mean and cannot agree less..)

It always have been tough getting back to crafting after a long break...so i look out for various blog challenges..their themes inspire my creative thought process to get back on track.

So after all the talking..:P sharing with you a card using 3 layer stamping technique..With Spring knocking i thought flowers are the best way to put the happiness on paper!

Love Distress inks and the their ability to react with water gives ample opportunity to try something new every time you lay hands on these versatile inks..
Used these along with a water brush to create a watercolor effect for my stamped image.

Not sure if you can spot a subtle shimmer in the center of the sunflower...

Here is the final look...

Hope you like it...

Shaker Card

HI !!
I am back after a long long time...Lot of good  things kept me busy and away from crafting.
But finally taken up crafting full time! [:)]
Recently saw Tejal's shaker card at the Lulupu 's 3rd birthday celebrations and it inspired me to create this one ..hope u like it..
The theme based on Lulupu's moodboard ..

My latest shopping haul included this lovely WRMK instagram die set..and i found this apt for a shaker card..

Don't miss the sparkle on the little animals...its none other then Wink of Stella...another must have !
The shaker also has Chevrons (distress inks and Studio calico stencil)
The Animals are stamped, colored with distress inks and then fussy cut and adhered to the face of shaker card with double sided foam tape.

This card has elements in multiple of 3's...its a 3 fold card,3 layers, 3 animals, 3 balloons...ribbons, confetti, twine..
The inside of the card can also be used for a handwritten note or even a photo be placed.

Rosallis...

Hi ppl,
Wondering from where did that name come from...ROSALLIS...it comes from my
WRMK Trellis punch and the rose stamp..i totally love this stamp..
So here i made this very simple card..
Made the background with my trellis 2 edge punch and stuck 3 strips side by side..and why waste those little cutouts( i land up collecting them every time i use this punch! i know total crazy!! )
The rose is colored with distress inks ( inks + spritz of water on the acrylic block) by just swirling around the water color cardstock on the block..i love the outcome..used clear embossing powder for the bold lines..it resists the color.
hope you like the outcome..

D inky goodness..

Hi ppl...
I am loving this mix media fever...:P
Made this customised layout with blue green theme for the canvas and added a little jazz with these lovely bright paper, mulberry roses, metal charms.
Used Lindy's Sprays and Smooch Spritz...(love the bright colors and shimmer)
Have used resin embellishment( applied gesso and then sprayed it..and also heat embossed with gold embossing powder..)
Another most fav thing is the lasercut chipboard peacock which i colored and then used mod podge dimensional for the 3d effect..
Also used my age old dry water color crayons..(bought them almost a decade back..but used them now...)

(used my dry water color crayons here for reds,pinks..and blended it with finger tips..)

I just love the inky hands...and if you still haven't tried your hands at mix media..you should!!..its super fun...
