Rosallis...

Hi ppl,
Wondering from where did that name come from...ROSALLIS...it comes from my
WRMK Trellis punch and the rose stamp..i totally love this stamp..
So here i made this very simple card..
Made the background with my trellis 2 edge punch and stuck 3 strips side by side..and why waste those little cutouts( i land up collecting them every time i use this punch! i know total crazy!! )
The rose is colored with distress inks ( inks + spritz of water on the acrylic block) by just swirling around the water color cardstock on the block..i love the outcome..used clear embossing powder for the bold lines..it resists the color.
hope you like the outcome..

CAS damask

Hi ppl...
My love for Damask designs only grows with time...:)
So latest on my shopping cart was this Memory Box damask stencil, i just love the intricate design.
Used sponging technique with distress inks (shabby shutters and broken china), Technique Tuesday gratitude stamp set and some golden glitter washi tape for this clean and simple yet an elegant card.

I am joining my card to the Current Fusion Card challenge #6 (used the sketch as my inspiration)

Here is my creation...

D inky goodness..

Hi ppl...
I am loving this mix media fever...:P
Made this customised layout with blue green theme for the canvas and added a little jazz with these lovely bright paper, mulberry roses, metal charms.
Used Lindy's Sprays and Smooch Spritz...(love the bright colors and shimmer)
Have used resin embellishment( applied gesso and then sprayed it..and also heat embossed with gold embossing powder..)
Another most fav thing is the lasercut chipboard peacock which i colored and then used mod podge dimensional for the 3d effect..
Also used my age old dry water color crayons..(bought them almost a decade back..but used them now...)

(used my dry water color crayons here for reds,pinks..and blended it with finger tips..)

I just love the inky hands...and if you still haven't tried your hands at mix media..you should!!..its super fun...

The Spring color blast

Hello Ladies,
There is not much blogging at my end( wedding season, orders, classes have kept me busy..)
A while ago visited a flower shop along a lakeside..and i cant forget that view..colorful potted flowers and a vast lake..I guess this inspiration comes form there.
So thought of welcoming Spring in my own colorful and crafty way...
OK!!..let me stop my endless talks..and show you what i created for the Spring theme.

  • I started with a 10"x 12" board canvas.
  • Used mod podge to adhere torn paper strips(from Coredinations pack), paper doily, net, burlap, and butterfly punched border( almost everything from my stash)
  • Used my homemade texture paste and Dylusions and the TCW mask as my stencils to create the brick texture and dots.
  • Brushed entire surface with gesso, which acts as a primer for the sprays.
  • And now comes the best part...The Smooch Sprays..these are little test tubes filled with rich colors and lots of shimmer. (I just fell in love with these).
  • I used fabric flowers(did not like their appearance much), applied gesso on them and used my first few starburst sprays from Lindy's ..here i used Tibetian poppy teal and Autumn maple crimson.
  • Have used Smooch Spritz (Navy twinkle, Sun kissed, Tea party) and Dylusions stencil and TCW flower mask.

Here is my Mix Media Layout for Spring Theme
(painted with gesso)

(a closeup of textures)

(TCW flower mask)

(the dash of pink comes from Lindy's starbust ..autmn maple crimson..love this color)

(Dylusions stencil)

Here is the complete look...

Hope you liked this blast of colors...
Happy Spring!!
